Cocooning 101

If you are over the age of 70, the HSE are advising that cocooning will greatly reduce the change of getting COVID-19. This means you should stay at home at all times and avoid face-to-face contact. Even within your home, you should minimise all non-essential contact with other members of your household.

How to cocoon:

The bottom line here is that these measures are for your personal protection and it's so important that either you and/or the cocooning loved one you are supporting is aware of this and therefore fully onboard with these measures.

For any queries regarding prescriptions and medicine collection please read through these updates. The HSE and the Irish government have applied necessary changes to the normal systems so that you are not at risk.

You can find the full list of those the HSE are recommending to cocoon here.
