My Granny Tess loved to bake. My childhood and teenage years are filled with memories of the whole family in her house every Sunday for her prized Apple tarts, and a jam tart made with the remaining dough leftover.
One of my favourite memories of time spent with my granny Tess in her later years was when I surprised her with all the ingredients we needed to bake scones. We had a lovely day making a mess in the kitchen and having a laugh while doing so. It was an hour spent bringing back tactile memories for gran and learning new ones of myself. I will forever associate Odlums flour with my granny Tess, as it was her flour of choice for decades.
Needless to say, we enjoyed the scones with a giant cup of tea and great conversations.
